Would have to agree with all the previous posts. I've done originating in SEA, SFO, and LAX connecting through NRT to BKK. The nice thing about the upper deck (other than what has already been stated) is that you get these great storage bins on the window seat. Perfect storage location for small toiletry bag, magazines, slippers, laptop, etc. Also, the lid of the storage bin makes for a great shelf/deck for your in-flight items. So basically, if you're going to the upper deck, be sure to ask for a window seat.

Service by the FA's on the US to NRT leg tends to be mediocre at best. However, the NRT-BKK crew are wonderful with great personel service.

Yes, your flight into BKK gets in late, and your flight out of BKK (NW 2) is very, very early (6:00am). This has always been a downside to NW to BKK. Also, the WBC lounge you'll be using in BKK is not that great (maybe it's because of the fact that it's around 4:30am and I've just been partying all night before
