I have flown the NRT to BKK flight (NW1) many times. It is a 747-400. I find that the main cabin, rows 1-4, are the best for me. These are the former FC seats. Upstairs is fine also - I just prefer the first 4 rows in the nose. On the 747-200, I definitely prefer the uptairs - again the former first class. Row 86 is best for me, followed by row 87.
