According to an online (and flyer) promotion, NW has started a partnership with Midway Airways as of May 1, 2001. The details are available at:

Not really! Last week, I booked two restricted fare roundtrip tickets on Midway (BOS-RDU-BOS). Called the WP Plat Elite line, today, to request an upgrade, and the answer was 'There are no reciprocity Elite upgrades between NW and Midway'. Called Customer Relations and got the same answer.
Interestingly enough, the answer I got from Midway on matching the unlimited upgrade policy was:
