Northwest Airlines Announces New Service Between Baltimore, Md. and Memphis, Tenn.
New Route to Begin September 1, 2001

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL, Minn., May 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Northwest Airlines (Nasdaq: NWAC - news) announced today new nonstop service from its hub in Memphis, Tenn. to Baltimore, Md. beginning Sept. 1, 2001.

Northwest will fly one daily nonstop trip between Memphis and Baltimore using a 100-seat DC9. Northwest currently services Baltimore with four daily nonstop flights from its Minneapolis/St. Paul hub, and eight daily nonstop flights from its Detroit hub.
