I signed up for the promo and saw that IAD-LAS was on the list. I did the trip and did IAD-CLT-LAS and on the way back LAS-PHX-IAD. Only the double miles posted for the return trip. I called US and they initially said that I won't qualify for the outbound trip because I flew through CLT. I told them that the promotion doesnt say I have to take a direct flight - - only that IAD has to be my origin and LAS my destination (or vice versa). The woman was very rude and then she put me on hold and then said yeah, it's fine, just wait 6 weeks for it to post. i dont think they are ever going to post because i think they meant the rule to be direct flights, although that's certainly not clear. I need these miles to bump up status. Should I try to get them to put something in their computer system saying it will post in 6 weeks. Should I just avoid everything and buy FTD.com?
