Alaska serves SFO-LAX, and Delta serves SFO/SJC/OAK-LAX. Get CO to toss that segment into your award if it's available. AS in F is usually reasonably available, and DL is all-coach on an RJ.
If you're going to pay, look at UA, as you can interline bags, and the Presidents Club in LAX T6 is accessible from the UA gates (T6/7/8).

I think this one is officially a request and wait type, but in my instance, when I finally got an agent educated enough to put it through, the confirmation came from KE in less than a minute (while we were on the phone).
