I would switch no matter how rude the parent as my overriding concern is for the two year old. Most on this thread seem to think its fine to punish an infant for the behavior of the parent.

What amazes me about the 90 year old is that the FA's thought accommodating her was an 'amazing' gesture.

In my view - being truly altruistic means you don't expect to benefit from you act (though it is nice when you do).
