The concern that I have is that a medical xray is targeted to a relatively small region of the body. A trip through the xray machine would be a longer, all-over dose. I also would not be surprised is the strength of the xray is somewhat higher since there isn't the same imperative to minimize the dose. It might be cheaper to use a bit stronger xray rather to get a good picture rather than building a system which gets the same pictures on less power. But I'm just speculating...
