I originally had my wife on an AMEX card billed to my account. She then received a letter from AMEX suggesting that she get an AMEX card billed to her own name, rather than on my bill. As there was a 20,000 point kicker in there, she did it. there was no problem in having the points added to our existing HHonors account.^
