Capital One No Hassle Miles Card = Huge Hassels Cust. Svc.

Took this card 2 yrs ago due to targeted offer for bonus miles. Worst customer service ever in my life, though, and have no plans to hang onto it once I get redeem the last award I have earned and spend the account credit.

Renewal cards don't come in the mail, so I call in to advise them of such and ask that they send me replacement cards. They do so and I use the replacement card twice over a 3 week period before leaving on a trip intending to use the card. On checking into hotel 2500 miles from home at 2 am, card is rejected. I call Capital One and am informed that they have cancelled my account and must issue new cards with a new account number BECAUSE MY CARD WAS LOST IN THE MAIL AND IS NO LONGER ACTIVE. I ask why this wasn't done 3 weeks earlier when I called them about it. They don't know "because you talked to someone else." I say check the notes to see who made the request for a new card and let me use the card for the next 2 days. They refuse. I ask for supervisor who says too bad but they have a "policy" that they must follow and nothing he can do to help me. Yes, I had another card so not a show stopper. But made it very clear that Capital One is nothing but huge hassles.

Making matters worse, I have a $157 credit balance on the card that they cancelled and refused to allow me to use while away. So I say AVOID them!!!!
