OK, far be it from me to complain about something. But Mileage Plus Merchandise just gave me the shaft, right before Xmas too.
I do realize that the merchandise rewards aren't exactly the best bang for your miles, but I have a few more miles than I know what to do with and coming up a little short on cash this Xmas. So I decided to get myself a new digital camera using miles.
So today, I get the box and anxiously open it, and low and behold, it's not the camera they had advertised, but rather one that's two generations back.
I know that they don't name model numbers on purpose, but the camera I ordered off the website had a very specific feature set and could only be the Canon SD 800 IS. Unfortunately, the camera they sent me was a Canon SD 550. Very, Very, different cameras...
Thanks to their *wonderful* customer support hours, the merchandise award desk is closed for the night and I have to wait to complain until tomorrow. Really, does 9am - 5:30pm EST really cut it these days??
Ugh, so I'm going to have to fight now to get the camera I rightfully ordered and sort this whole mess out. The last thing I wanted to do before Xmas.
