Sounds like cheaper WT+ is not upgradeable? Or not valid for two for one? In any event, that is not the solution to the loss of instant KK. A 2 for 1 in business class is, although obviously more expensive. But then, service also better.

And upgrading when traveling alone. Or if necessary, buying cheaper ex-Europe business fares.

Given the fare figures I posted earlier, I still think this will come out cheaper than AC.

I think I should go through the exercise, looking at how much I spent with AC last year and see how it would compare with flying BA this year.

The beauty of my travel pattern is that I usually know well in advance of my plans. At least, roughly. Plus, there is a combination of business travel, personal business (tax-deductible) and private. All kind of leaky into each other, so lots of flexibility.
