the low end properties like the hamptons and stuff had free local calls etc so the revenue hit was probably less and they could afford to give free HSIA
I have heard the same thing - they made a boatload of revenue before mobile phones took over and internet dialup became a thing of the past. IMHO, just include it in the cost of my room.
