Come on folks, I know that we newbies are a pain in the ..., but cut us some slack. I'm guessing that no one here hit the ground running when they joined this forum.
BTW, I'm coming down hard on you, but I'm really directing it to all the posters that are outraged that newbies don't just get it right out of the gate.
Special thanks to Nako and SCChris for answering the question quickly and without rancor.
Your point is well taken. "Wiki", however, has nothing specific to do with FlyerTalk; it is general internet nomenclature, such as something like "blog". So, I don't assume that invoking the name "wiki" supposes that one has been here long...just that they are aware of mainstream internet developments (wikipedia).
All I'm saying is that, when one comes onto this page, there's a sticky that practically begs "Read me before you do anything else". As a newbie anywhere, I would seek out something like that...and this one is very easy to find.
Some things are harder to find, or even to know what to look for-granted. But, in many cases, it's very clear that people have not even looked at the obvious before posting.
By the way, I think that outrage may be an overstatement
Cheers.
