I've totally agreed that I will no longer use glasses and mugs in the rooms, but I feel like, damn, with the $ I spend for these rooms, I should at least get glasses! I actually called room service and ordered dinner early last night so I could get a clean glass. (At least I THINK it was a clean glass!)

I always told my cousin she was nuts for believing the urban myth about the tourists who left their toothbrushes out while at a Mexican Resort. The story she told is that they returned home, got film developed and it was of housekeeping personnel using their toothbrushes in a very ummm...unsanitary and quite disgusting manner. But just b/c I didn't believe that story doesn't mean I ever left my toothbrush out again- in fact for awhile I would lock my toothbrush in the safe! But maybe there is something to the story- who knows.

In any case, there should be a way to get clean glasses. Remember years ago when they put "sanitized for your protection" ribbons on the toilet? Maybe they could do something like that. But I will definitely be more vigilant. You'd think that with all the traveling I do, I'd have come across this before. I guess I'm not the only one! I think I'll pack extra antibacterial and wash the glasses myself.

I'm surprised that this bothered me this much- I am wondering if I should report this to the hotel. I hate to get someone in trouble, but I'm still shocked that she did it right in front of my face. Oh well, if this is my worst problem, I'm doing okay.
