In all my flying -- and I do a lot -- I have never seen these trading cards, business cards, etc. In fact, I've never even seen a captain come through the cabin to greet customers. Am I just unlucky?

During my last SFO-PEK flight, I was on the upper deck, and the captain (or first officer or someone who was wearing an "I fly this plane" outfit) came out of the cockpit during the flight and walked downstairs. Not sure why. About 5 minutes later, he returned to the cockpit. Thought it was a bit odd.
