And I will add that Avis was terrific both the evening we picked up, and when we dropped the car off, quickly rectifying the small rate discrepancy.
It was really appreciated the night of our mis-connection, after about a 23 hour travel day, that Avis was quick to assist my husband with switching everything over. He doesn't usually make our flight or car rental arrangements, leaving it to me. I sent him off from IAD with both our PC cards and the print-out of the reservation in hand, and told him to just see what he could do.
When he met me a few hours later and escorted me to our Avis car that was already filled with our luggage and ready to drive out just after midnight, he made a point of telling me how nice and accommodating the rep. was and we stopped and said an extra 'thank-you' to her on our way out.
It didn't surprise me that there was the small glitch of the EB rate. All my husband had asked was if the price would remain the same, to which Avis originally replied yes. There was no fuss at all to fix it at the kiosk when we dropped the car off.
