when i was staying at the pen, my family and i took the boat ride across the river to the oriental, it seemed more kid friendly, in the sense that there were a lot more kids running around than at the pen.

personally, i really liked the pen, it was great, one of the best hotels that i have stayed at, probably following the FS in chiang mai...
