I signed up for HHonors about 3 months ago, and never got anything. During the recent promotions, I signed my wife up for HHonors (probably 1 month ago now), and about 2 weeks ago she got the challenge letter in the mail. It pissed me off to no end, given how much I have flown NWA and how little she flies. I ended up switching to CO for the segment qualification, and the fact that NWA customer service has been pretty lousy the last few months.
If it came from HHonors, it was either a recent thing or they filter the resulting names based on some other criteria, like "if he's already flying NWA, don't offer the promo to him" :-)
