Well, we can keep on being negative about everything that's new...
I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing, like with the check-in machines: at first everyone is opposed to it, now I actually like seeing a seat map and being able to choose seats.
And that's one of the promises that these new kiosks can perform.
I have been to quite some large airports where lines at transfer desks are huge when there is a disrupted flight.
If all that you're waiting for is a boarding pass or seat change, that can be quite annoying.
As long as KL does not cut down on the staff manning the desks, I think this is a welcome improvement and one that could be followed by other carriers at other airports.
