It has never been a problem. If it is a new, out of the box machine, then I put some stickers, post-it notes, etc. on the machine to make it look like it is used. The only country that was really anal about it was Costa Rica. I never took anything to SJO that still had the manufacturer's packaging. There was never a problem as long as the stuff did not look like it could be resold.
