I'm moving to another country and want to bring my desktop computer and 24" monitor with me (I can't be without them for the 6 weeks it takes to ship them). I am allowed 40 kgs of luggage and 14 of handluggage.

Has anyone done this? Did you carry your desktop as carry-on? If you checked it in, how did you pack it?

Any advice would be very welcome.
