Actually - because of this disclaimer, the comparisons are not at all useful. I don't agree with BA's policy at all, but there is no point making comparisons such as this. BA is not in direct competition with SW, cannot be, because of the protectionist US rules on domestic flights. There is absolutely no basis to be making these comparisons on - it's like taking a ferrari and a tractor and comparing their stats, because both are vehicles
