Hmmm...Although the elite status is good through Feb. 28 of each year, mileage earned in a calendar year is used for elite status calculation. Thus, miles earned 1/1/00-12/31/00 are used to calculate your elite status for 2001 (3/1/01-2/28/02.) Why do you need another 5K miles before 2/28/01?
