And are these people who have this happen after many, many years of service? Can you give any examples of anyone who has been demoted due to a lawsuit by the member of the public whose rights they infringed upon?

As for injuries, I was trying to politely say "injured by a bad person", rather than injured picking up a bag. Heck, I have to work hard every time I travel to remember to pick up bags and heavy things properly in order not to injure myself. I wouldn't consider that anything compared to normal public servants like police officers or firemen who put themselves in danger quite often.
