To a large extent, the world comes to where we lead it. I'm a dad who adores children and considers it a great privilege to talk and play with them. I realize there is some paranoia about male boogymen, but I don't let that stop me from interacting with kids. It's just a matter of not being presumptuous with kids or their parents (e.g., I wouldn't tickle a kid unless I know kid & parents very well).

I have purposely taken seats on Southwest (open seating) next to kids. Others can be paranoid if they choose. That's just not how I'm going to live my life.
