Did you try pricing LGA-AUS? or LGA-SAT? They are both closer driving than Dallas..... I usually get a lot better pricing to LGA than either JFK or EWR.
Dispite being closer to EWR, I did price out all three New York airports as well as PHL, HPN, and SWF (I know, it's was a long shot). The cheapest all the way around to Houston and back was $360. NYC-AUS was simularly priced to the Houston flights. I never thought about flight into SAT. I'm going to check that while I'm still within Continental's 24 hr cancel for free period. Thanks.
