I agree with someone else who listed Janolan caves. THe blue mountains is worth the trip. If you go to "Jenolan Cabins". you stay in a cabin all your own for a great price, and kangaroos just hang out in the fields and around the cabins. it was great. you can even feed then carrots (be careful though). The Jenolan caves are. so. fantastic. GO. Go. Go.

If you have a day in christchruch, rent a car and drive to lyttleton, and around the curvy cliifs in the area. I forget the little french town we dorve to (well, originally settled by french) but the drive was so worth it alone.
