So after another couple of months' worth of thought, I believe that the answer to the original question will be "No".
Hyatt's inability to maintain and deliver a consistent level of service between the US and Asia is frustrating, and the Diamond telephone customer service has been increasingly helpless in dealing with even minor issues like changing the start or end date of a future stay. Having to constantly manage my own account to receive credit for stays and boni is also annoying, and the SPG Plat line and stay credit process just seems smoother.
It is a shame, I really liked Hyatt in the past, and some properties are still outstanding, but the corporate side is letting us down. As Diamonds, we spend what, $10K minimum per year each, and they still don't answer the phone except during business hours in the Midwestern US?
