I had wondered about that in the past myself, but from the picture of the mini-PE cabin downstairs on the 747 shown elsewhere on this site it's not like you can get free access to the door from that row, or - with respect to having a baby on board - even impede anyone else's access to it. Because of the bulkhead wall thing.
Presumably that's where NZ came from on the design too?
