I was on a flight once and was seated next to a pair of unaccompanied boys, pretty young. They were a bit wound up so I figured out a quick way to calm that down. I had been to Japan a week before and happened to be there the day the Game Boy Advance launched. It wasn't due out in the US for a few more months. Seeing that both kids had gameboys I figured they should see the future, so I handed over my GBA to let them check it out. Other than having to make sure the kids got equal time it went pretty smoothly and the FA thanked me for keeping them occupied and when the plane landed I saw the kids with their (I assume) grandparents and one of the kids pointed and waved. All in all it was a nice experience.
