My point exactly! Book in advance for Club Class, and you expect to be able to book seats. After all, BA have the cash in their coffers for months, and this should be one of the advantages of booking early. OK, no-one would object to some seats being blocked off from the start for high value customers, but the rest should be on a first come first served basis. We pay plenty for long haul club class, and WANT to ensure from the time of booking that we sit together.
