They were Northwest Orient through the mid-'80s at least. I believe the "Orient" was dropped around the time of the Republic merger (in 1989?). NW had more domestic US lift and critical mass, and began building a more serious transatlantic business aroud the same time, so the "Orient" was no longer really appropriate.
