I don't really know anything about AA and miles, but was just looking at the earning after pulling up some potential itins on the site, and it doesn't look like you can get 100% on BA or (some) other OW partners with the discount economy rates (oddly, non OW partners of AA generally have pretty good RDM and EQM earn rates).
