For the most part, I have always had an upgrade to the "executive floor" at the CP, but never to a suite. I have never had an upgrade at the HI. Others report better upgrades at the HI (e.g. to a suite), I must choose the days the hotel is full

Got a free standard drink from the bar each time I have stayed at either.
