I am flying from LAX TO BKK and would like your opinion on which is a better experience, Singapore's Exec Economy or Thai's premium Economy. The price for both products is essentially the same.

A review of the various threads and websites indicates the following differences:

SQ: 20" seat, 37" pitch, 8" recline
Thai: 18.5" seat, 42" pitch, 7" recline

Interestingly, Conde Nast was much more complimentary of the Thai product. Is there a significant difference in the level of service that would justify using SQ and being routed through Singapore versus the direct flight on Thai?
