I have the Sony W-70 which is the one just below the 100. When I was purchasing the 70 I asked the knowledgable clerk, if I should go up to the 100. His answer, No, no need to spend the extra $ just for a little more megapixel. They both have the exact same features.

I was buying this as a replacement for my Sony P100 (waterproof case wasn't correctly closed and cameras just do not like salt water or any water for that matter.)

Anyway, the 70 does have the lens adapter available. Since I already had the lenses from my P100 I purchased the adapter (they take the same lenses). I took over 1500 pix this past October in Europe and except for some of my own mistakes every photo came out beautiful.

My last 3 cameras have been Sonys and I have been more than happy. My DV mini video is also a Sony and is over 8 years old. I have never had any problem with any of my Sony equipment.

My experience with Canon was the G3, and compared to my Sony with 3 megapixel, the Sony was the clear winner over the Canon. Anyone want to buy a G3.

The 70 has 7.2 megapixels.
