Just out of curiosity, why do you prefer US over AC? IMO, AC's aircraft are more comfortable and they give you the Globe and Mail, but T3 at Pearson is less of a hassle than AC's T2. US also (used to, at least) allow free standby which was a big plus.
For me the big plusses are the unlimited domestic upgrades, the cost of tickets, and a FFP which to me is much stronger (fewer miles required for the same awards, much lower booking/service fees, etc). Standby is now something like $25.
