If you fly on 51 weekends, you get 51*250miles =12'750miles
i.e. you need 140 round-trips in E to be FTL
I'm commuting as well between CH and DE, but start my trips always in MUC and usually book via LTUR.de (W-class) or hope for a rtf (S-class). This makes at least 750 status miles per segment (+25%).
But I would go for LH too, even with E-class-tickets. And EZS/EZY is not always cheaper...
