Management seems to have re-trained the pool staff to improve service levels, and I hope the front-desk improves too. Those young women are fine people; I'm not saying they're not. But the level and manner of service is below what the rest of the hotel delivers. They act more like airline lounge dragons than the first and last point of contact a guest has with the hotel, notably at the point when the guest has to pay.
