Help me out here. I flew four legs on United last week. The first two legs showed up in my Dividend Miles account within a day or so. The second two never showed up. What's worse is that after requesting credit for the miles, I received the attached email saying that I had to send both the ticket receipts AND the boarding passes to US Airways to get credit.
If I hadn't flown 12 legs on United in the last six months including a trip to Germany without any trouble getting automatic credit I might think this was disappointingly normal. Is this a policy change? Any ideas why the first two would get credited without a problem and the second wouldn't make the cut?
Many thanks,
Mike
Mr. Bliss,
Thank you for contacting US Airways.
US Airways and United Airlines have a codeshare agreement in certain markets. A codeshare agreement is an arrangement between two or more carriers which allows each carrier involved to sell seats on each other?s flights and provides customers with access to each airline?s networks.
The adjustment you have requested is for a codeshare flight operated by United Airlines which is valid for credit. To credit missing United Airlines flight activity in your Dividend Miles account, we require both the original boarding passes and the ticket receipt to be submitted within six months from the travel date. A copy of the ticket receipt is acceptable.
You may forward the United Airlines ticket receipt and boarding passes to US Airways, Dividend Miles Service Center, PO Box 025458, Miami, FL 33102. Since the original boarding passes are required, faxing is not an option. Please include your Dividend Miles account number. Only one frequent flyer program will be credited for the activity. We will review the documentation and credit the activity if the class of service and markets are valid. Please allow 60 days for the credit to appear in your account.
We appreciate your continued patronage of US Airways.
