I think the OP is departing CNX and transiting in BKK to Europe, not the other way around, whereas it sounds like you understood the situation to be the reverse and thus were referring to CNX airport, not BKK airport.
Going through immigration at CNX is very easy, and when you arrive at BKK you will have your CIQ sticker attached to your clothes and directed to go through an immigration checkpoint on Concourse B of the domestic portion of the terminal. The checkpoint is immediately after the intersection with Concourse A. There should be some TG staff there looking for passengers with the CIQ sticker and directing them to turn into the immigration checkpoint where they will check to be sure you had your passport stamped at CNX. Then you can go up to the lounges, duty free shops, or wherever you like in the international departure area.
