In terms of quality, I agree with eagle92. To build on that, in my opinion an AA/BA combo is far better than Iberia, Royal Jordanian, or Egyptair, all of which are rather miserable options.
Actually, IB's transatlantic J service is far superior to AA's. But BA's LHR-CAI J service will be far superior to IB's MAD-CAI service which, IMHO, tips the balance in favor of the AA/BA combo over the IB option.
