To me, a full OHB is a full OHB. If they allow 50% more weight up front, then the weight argument is not valid.
ROFL...... quite - and all the ensuing discussions re less people is just not relevant.

Add to thsi particular argument the essential need for the crew to carry on their bags - frequently three in number, alwasy stuffed to the gills and always strategically placed in the OHB before boarding or in their personal closet up front. I am full accepting the need to check bags when space runs out. I get that. WHat *really* irritates is the crew giving out stink and complaining about "how terrible it is all the carry on luggage peopel bring on board"
Not once have I ever seen a crew member walkign unencumbered wiht a bag through an airport. I have *never* seen a crew member board a plane beofre me with no luggage - never.
So if its good enough for the crew it ought to be good enough for the pax. Accept it - we all want to get out and on our way as quickly as possible. Waiting for luggage at the carousel is not "fun". Accept it for what it is - people want ot get on and off adn our quickly adn preferably wihtout loosing anything.
