You might also consider going via ORD and IST on Turkish if you'd like a day or two layover in IST (and the flights are available, of course). Also keep in mind that as of early next year, Malev and Royal Jordanian will join OneWorld and become AA partners so, if you can hold off until around April, you may be able to go via JFK (or DTW if you can get there on AA) and BUD or AMM.
