Holy buckets...I'm a thread.
Pushpak - you have a wonderful sense of humor an I appreciate
your concerns!
To all, a clarification -
I am "self-appointed" in the sense that I asked for this gig.
I am not "un-official". My management (up to a senior level)
knows about and supports my participation on FT.
I have discussed my personal FT "code of conduct" with Randy.
I don't use FT for free advertising. I don't post/reply on
other airlines' bulletin boards. If either Randy or FT participants
have a problem with me being here, I will bow out gracefully.
My original intent when entering FT was to answer questions or
clear up misunderstandings about WorldPerks. Since then,
a couple of other things have evolved:
1. Customer service issues
2. Questions/suggestions about other NWA issues which are not
directly related to WorldPerks
1. I have no problem following up on specific customer service
issues for FT-ers. In fact, I APPRECIATE the opportunity to do so.
In almost every case, it has allowed me to identify something on the
NWA side that needed to be "fixed" or addressed in some way.
Punki's cert problem identified a part of our online reference
guide for agents which needed to be updated. TravelLover's
retro issue signaled that we may have some agents who are not clear
on how to properly deal with retro credit for WPs members with CO-
issued tickets. Etc., etc. I have the chance to help out both
customer and company...very cool for me. So let's just see how it
goes. If it becomes a problem...well, we'll cross that bridge then.
2. I have received many suggestions/complaints/ideas on subjects
which are outside the scope of WorldPerks Marketing. I am passing
them along to other departments, but I need to be careful not to
give the impression that I can follow up on all of them. I was a
little too naive on that count! Obviously, my sphere of influence
is really limited to WorldPerks. But if FT-ers have ideas, please
do continue to post them.
And, finally, I AM a representative of the airline and will defend
NWA and the WorldPerks program when I feel it is appropriate. That
may not sit well with all participants on FT. I believe the
WorldPerks program is world-class and I believe NWA has been
a great airline in the past, and will be again. That's not
rhetoric...it's what I believe.
As always, thanks for your feedback.
