having just returned from a weeks diving in Sharm I have to say that some of the comments are not exactly helpful

Granted - the nightlife was not great, and alchol is expensive, but the diving was excellent and the hotel I stayed at was quite good. - perfect if all you want to do is go somewhere and chill out.

Be prepared for a lot of russians though

I stayed at the Hilton Waterfalls in Sharm - £225 for 2 people B&B 6 nights - not bad for a bit of winter sun.
