Once, flying JFK - STI on an A300 I was the only revenue passenger in J. The stairs were placed at 2L and the flight attendant actually held back passengers by spreading her arm to create a gate, got my attention and said, "Sir, please come on through." The 2L door is actually a few rows back in coach so it was almost embarrassing to squeeze by some passengers to be allowed the first to exit the plane, but being the first to immigration makes any of that embarrassment go away quickly.
