Lucky you... this has almost never been standard procedure on AA flights I've taken... in fact, I've often had to say "excuse me" to get past the crew blocking F while letting the rest of the plane empty out. And even in J, if I'm on the "other aisle", its often like running the gauntlet to get past crew congregating in the galley.

It IS, on the other hand, standard procedure on other civilized (read: non-US flag carriers) airlines to let the premium passengers disembark first.
