It depends. I've booked some great vacations through LuxuryLink auctions in the past few years, for about 50% of what I would have paid through other channels. Unfortunately, some of the auction prices have increased significantly over the past 12 months; many still represent good deals, though -- especially if you're looking for luxury in exotic places. The best deals I've gotten were in French Polynesia, Fiji, and Male. I've never booked city trips, trips that include air transportation, or trips to Europe or Mexico.

Note that there is virtually no actual bidding going on; you essentially buy a package by placing a bid. So type in the minimum required bid, and more often than not, the package will be yours.

In contrast to the positive experience I've had with auctions, I've never seen a good BuyNow deal, so I would stay away from those. Also, do not book customized deals through LuxuryLink. The auctions are the way to go.
